If you are just starting out, then you will want to know how much your website is going to cost - to start up, and then to keep running. I aim to be completly transparent about costs at the start so that there are no nasty surprises. My prices may not be the lowest available - but you get a personal service, and I am only a phone call away.
The first step is to meet and have a chat about what it is you want your website to do for you.
After the meeting, if we decide that we want to work together, I would send you an initial quotation and provide some mock-ups with ideas for what your website could look like. If there any changes you need making, then I would update the designs untill you are happy
Once the designs are approved, I would provde a detailed qotation and an invoice for up to half of the total cost of the website. A small website can cost as little as £150 which includes the cost of hosting and updates for the first year. As soon as the invoice is paid, I will start work creating your website and provide you with a link to it so that you can see the work progressing.
Once the website is completed and you are completly happy with it, then I would invoice you for the balance of payment, and once this has been paid, I would link the website to your domain name. If you would rather use your own hosting then I would send you all of the website files.
You want people to be able to find your website so I carefully design it to be understandable by search engines, and I will send a sitemap of your webiste to Google to let them know where to find you. If you need more than this, like linking your website to your social media campaigns, then you probably want to consider our CMS package.
The starter websites are not suitable for people who will regularly update their content - but I do understand that from time to time some changes will need to be made. While you host the website with me, I will log in for you and take care of that for you.
If you don't already have one, then you will need to purchase a domain name for your website - the address that people will type in, like regencybuilders.co.uk. I can help you to choose a domain name and can also purchase and renew it each year for you but it does currently cost approximatly £15 per annum for a typical domain name.
To be available on the Internet your website needs to be installed onto a server. For the first year, I would host your website on my own server - as this makes it easy to make any small updates that might be necessary. After the first year, there would be a hosting fee to pay each year, which for a small website would normally be about £60. For this fee, I would arrange hosting for you, monitor your website to make sure it was visible on the Internet and continue to make those small updates to content.
